03.06.2013Annual Dinner 2013

In May 2013, 400 Committee for Melbourne members and their guests helped honour and celebrate Melbourne’s natural beauty and community spirit at the Committee’s Annual Dinner: Melbourne Inside Out.

The event was held at the Melbourne Room at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and celebrated both old and new trends taking place in Melbourne. From the city’s bike movement, to pop-up restaurants, to the history of our bustling markets and sprawling botanic parks – the evening captured the concept of being outdoors and highlighted Melburnians’ enthusiasm to embrace culture, community and sustainability.

The Committee’s Annual Dinners are always a wonderful opportunity for members to build relationships, share a night of engaging conversation and reflect on some of Melbourne’s future challenges and opportunities. In 2013, they recognised the important place community and sustainability play in Melbourne society.
