19.08.2021Working together on our road to recovery – getting vaccinated

Through our Road to Recovery taskforce, Committee for Melbourne is collaborating with the Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions on the delivery and continuous improvement of COVID Safe Business information and practices-including rigorous check in procedures and vaccinations.

Due to the current level of community transmission of COVID-19 in Victoria, we encourage anyone who is eligible to be vaccinated make a booking. COVID-19 vaccines are free, safe, and voluntary. Choosing to get vaccinated helps protect ourselves, our families, and our community.

Victorians aged between 18 and 39 can attend a state-run vaccination centre to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine if they provide informed consent. Victoria’s online booking system is now live to book your vaccine appointment or you can ring the coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398.

In addition to vaccinations, we must check-in everywhere, every time. It is the responsibility of businesses to ensure that every worker, customer, and visitor has checked-in, no matter how long they are at the premises using the Victorian Government QR Code Service.

Lastly, if you have symptoms, please get tested. COVID-19 symptoms include fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath and loss or change in sense of smell or taste. If you are experiencing symptoms, wear a fitted face mask when you get tested.

For more information, call the 24-hour Coronavirus Hotline at 1800 675 398 or stay up to date with restrictions and public health advice at coronavirus.vic.gov.au
