19.03.2020The new look Committee Engagement Team

We are pleased to announce some exciting changes to the Engagement Team to further enhance our events and communications, membership services and stakeholder liaison.

Laura Kerr Melvin has been promoted to the role of Manager, Communications, Events and Engagement.

During the 14 months she has been with the Committee, Laura has improved the reach and quality of our communications. She is now responsible for Committee for Melbourne’s event calendar delivery, branding and communications, media relations and partnerships. This is a key role, especially now when effective communications are more critical than ever.

We also welcome Nikki Chamberlain to the team as our new Events Coordinator. Before joining the Committee, Nikki worked with our member Melbourne Water. Nikki liaises with our venues, presenters, and guests on the delivery of over 50 events a year including forums, workshops, networking events and the Annual Gala Dinner.

Our Marketing and Digital Services Coordinator, Claire McLaverty, continues to expand the quality of our branding, communications channels and website. Claire’s work has delivered significant improvements to our in-house production, and our ability to reach the community with our messages in a timely way.

Finally, we welcome Tilley Byrne to the role of Membership and Stakeholder Coordinator. Tilley is working with our 150 members to map out engagement plans and member activity. Our membership has grown over the last three years and it is crucial we work closely with all of them to help shape Melbourne’s future through building even closer relationships.

You can meet the Committee Board and Secretariat here.

The coming 12 months present unprecedented challenges (and opportunities). I encourage our members and stakeholders to get involved though our social media platforms or contact us on cfm@melbourne.org.au.
