03.06.2021The Future Focus Group Class of 2020/2021 Complete the Journey

Eighteen emerging civic leaders completed their Future Focus Group (FFG) journey this week, being the first cohort to undertake the 15-month program format. Previous programs were 21 months in duration. A Graduation Dinner is currently planned for the participants later in June, subject to prevailing conditions.

Participants came from EY, Fed Square, GHD, Herbert Smith Freehills, IFM Investors, La Trobe University, Lendlease, Maribyrnong City Council, Melbourne Water, Metro Trains Melbourne, Monash University, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Silver Chain Group and Urbis, as well as the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning. The Committee is extremely grateful to these organisations for their support of their participants – and to all of the participants for their resilience, flexibility and initiative when monthly FFG Workshops, Project Team meetings and interactions with potential stakeholders on FFG Projects, needed to be virtual for the majority of the program, due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The FFG 2022/2023 Program will be launched in July, with completed nomination packages sought by the end of September and a 15-month program starting in February 2022. Stay tuned for the launch.
