04.02.2021Requesting member comments: Infrastructure Victoria’s Draft 30-Year Infrastructure Strategy

Infrastructure Victoria (IV) recently published its second multi-decade draft blueprint to guide Victoria’s growth in a post-COVID future.

The Draft 30-Year Infrastructure Strategy identifies the top infrastructure and policy priorities for Victoria, with the aim of reducing disadvantage, addressing environmental risks and building on Victoria’s economic strengths.

Committee for Melbourne (the Committee) intends to provide IV with feedback as part of its community and stakeholder engagement process currently underway.

With many of the projects, polices and reforms identified in the draft strategy aligned with the Committee’s agenda, the Committee will focus its broad feedback on the following policy issues and overall infrastructure agenda:

  • Energy and sustainability
  • Housing
  • Transport
  • Visitor economy

To help refine the Committee’s response, we welcome and encourage members to provide their thoughts to us on IV’s draft blueprint.

Members are also encouraged to provide their individual feedback to IV.

Please direct your written feedback to, or request further information from, Brett Van Duppen at bvanduppen@melbourne.org.au
