30.06.2022Farewell to CfM Director, Engagement, Clive Dwyer

Dear valued members and friends of the Committee for Melbourne:

From CEO Mark Melvin

I am writing to inform you that the Committee’s Director, Engagement, Clive Dwyer, will be leaving us on 30 June.

Clive signalled his intent to finish his tenure back in December 2021, however he kindly agreed to continue in his role until a new CEO was appointed after our previous CEO Martine Letts had advised the Board of her decision to move on.

On behalf of the Secretariat, Board and members of the Committee I want to thank Clive for his tireless efforts, especially in the delivery of our brand, the Melbourne 4.0 and COVID-19 Road to Recovery campaigns, our events program and ongoing engagement with members, stakeholders and the media.

The last five years has seen the Committee raise its profile as an independent, trusted and influential voice for Greater Melbourne with a growing membership and increased stakeholder engagement, even through the recent COVID-19 pandemic, and we thank Clive for his contribution and leadership.

Now that I am on board, it is appropriate that Clive’s wishes are honoured and he gets the chance to have that long-awaited overseas holiday with his family before he returns to Melbourne to explore new projects.

From Director, Engagement Clive Dwyer

“I am excited to see the next era of the Committee for Melbourne under Mark’s leadership and I thank our Chairman Scott Tanner, the Board and the amazing Secretariat for the opportunity to contribute to the city that I love.

With the support of our 150 committed members and stakeholders, we have delivered wonderful initiatives, shown tireless resilience and now see a truly amazing cohort of ‘Proud Melburnians’ working together to help shape our future.

I look forward to keeping in touch with the Committee for Melbourne community in the years ahead.”
