10.12.2020Governor’s address on our Road to Recovery

A unique member and stakeholder forum was held in November 2020 via our E-ROOM.

Our patron, the Governor of Victoria, Her Excellency the Governor of Victoria, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC addressed the Committee and reflected on the work of the Committee for Melbourne, the challenging events of 2020 in the life of our nation and our city, and the opportunities and challenges for 2021 and beyond.

At the conclusion of the Governor’s address the Committee awarded the annual Melbourne Achiever Awards and then facilitated a roundtable discussion of proud Melburnians reflecting on the Governor’s message and providing updates from our Road to Recovery Taskforce and community leaders.

The Governors speech was truly inspiring and invokes the true spirit of the Committee for Melbourne to work together in times of crisis and to protect the future prosperity of our great City.
