Save the date: Future Melbourne Summit

As Melbourne’s restrictions ease, businesses open, tourists and travellers return and vibrancy is once again seen in our city, the Committee for Melbourne’s focus is shifting to setting a future agenda for our city.

We will kick this off with our Future Melbourne Summit on 15 February at Sofitel on Collins where members will spend an afternoon with Melbourne leaders and fellow Committee members to help design the Committee’s future agenda for Greater Melbourne.

We know, as the city recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, that we must focus on three key areas for the city: Future Economy; Infrastructure & Sustainability and Liveability & Urban Optimisation.

Under these three pillars, you can help develop innovative and creative solutions to overcome challenges facing Melbourne. The range of issues is varied and requires the expertise of Committee members to help shape solutions for the city.

At the Summit we will also launch our Greater Melbourne Benchmarking Report. The report will assess Melbourne’s strengths and weaknesses against a number of other cities around the world and provide a baseline assessment of Melbourne’s opportunity to reclaim its status as one of the world’s most successful and liveable cities.

And of course, you can reconnect in person with your fellow Committee members over networking drinks following the event.

The Committee is committed to continuing its mission to work with its cross sectoral membership to shape Melbourne’s future. We hope you can join us!
