Meet the Opposition Leader, Mr John Pesutto MP

Members enjoyed an intimate and interactive roundtable lunch event at Transurban on Thursday 12 October 2023, with our special guest, Opposition Leader Mr. John Pesutto MP.

As Victorian Leader of the Opposition, Leader of the Liberal Party and Shadow Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Mr Pesutto shared his view on a range of issues relevant to Melbourne’s economic and community strengths and opportunities, including covering areas such as Victoria’s debt, the tax system, transport connectivity, precinct development, skills and innovation economy.

This lunch follows the release of the Committee’s Benchmarking Melbourne 2023 report, which assesses Melbourne’s overall performance against 19 peer cities. Our members were interested to hear Mr Pesutto’s views on the data and issues raised in the report.
