Meet the Minister The Hon. Alan Tudge MP, Minister for Education & Youth

As minister for Education and Youth, Minister Tudge oversees Federal Government education policy, which includes advancing opportunities for Australia’s youth, as well as the country’s international education sector.
With young Australians heavily impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, activating a range of policies and programs to support their health and wellbeing, educational experience and career opportunities, has been a priority for government.
Minister Tudge was joined by, the University of Melbourne’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Duncan Maskell, and Colette Rogers, National Education Lead, Deloitte to discuss the following issues:
- The impact of COVID-19 on schools and young Australians.
- The future of work and its implications for education policy.
- How the tertiary education sector is navigating the effects of COVID-19.
- How Australia can remain an attractive international education destination.
