E-scooters are coming to Melbourne

The Committee and Superpedestrian are delighted to invite you to our Leading Thinker event with Assaf Biderman, CEO, Superpedestrian.

Where: The Committee’s E-ROOM
When: Tuesday, 26 October | 10.00 – 11.15am

Melburnians have spent another winter huddled indoors, limiting movement to stop the spread of COVID-19. With vaccination rates on the rise and a roadmap to easing restrictions released, Melburnians will need to get out in a COVIDSafe way to support our economy.

High-powered electric scooters are set to appear on the streets of four local councils as part of a 12-month state government trial. City of Melbourne, City of Yarra, City of Port Phillip and City of Ballarat, will be the first councils in Victoria to trial e-scooters as a sustainable transport alternative.

Committee for Melbourne is pleased to convene this forum exploring micromobility and its potential for economic, environmental, and social benefit.

Guest speakers include Assaf Biderman, CEO, Superpedestrian, Jaison Hornel, CEO, Good Cycles and Dana Bacharach, Senior Business Development Manager, Ride Report and Mitchell Price, Regional Director (Asia Pacific), Superpedestrian.

This event is hosted in partnership with Superpedestrian, a safety-first micromobility company that has tendered to operate electric scooters in all four trial councils.

Kind Regards,

Committee for Melbourne and Superpedestrian
