A Smart City Called Melbourne

With planned government investment in infrastructure and precincts across Melbourne and Australia at an all time high, we have an unprecedented chance to create a smart city around those developments.

Janice Lee, Integrated Infrastructure Partner, PwC will provide a vision for smart cities, including the opportunity available and critical success factors for creating smart cities. A panel of experts will join Janice to provide insights into specific examples and case studies. Those panellists include:

Chris James, Executive Director, NorthLink
Paul Kallenbach, Head of Technology Partner, MinterEllison
Mohan Lakshman, Senior Product Manager – Product & Capability Transformation, NBN

Aligning smart city vision with development processes can ensure that technology can be harnessed to help a city thrive. Implementing solutions to developing a smart city requires collaborative efforts across the community, government, education and private sectors, and harnessing connected infrastructure and technology systems.

Our panel of experts will provide a vision for Melbourne, and how adopting information and technologies can help cities do better socially and economically.
