As the City of Melbourne’s CEO, Dr Alexander leads an organisation responsible for the workings of a dynamic, energetic and cosmopolitan 24-hour city that consistently rates top or near top of international surveys of liveability.

Fortunately the former South Australian Telstra Businesswoman of the Year has a long history in running highly complex organisations.

Prior to her appointment at the Council, she ran her own consultancy and was well known as the former CEO of Women’s and Children’s Health, which governed Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital. Dr Alexander was a key player in the redevelopment of our Womens hospital.

Dr Alexander will be sharing with us her plans for Melbourne including safety issues and the new retail strategy for Melbourne.
