About the Future Focus Group

More than 200 business leaders have completed the Committee for Melbourne’s intensive, two-year young leadership development program, Future Focus Group. Created in 1995, Future Focus Group develops the leadership skills and commitment of Melbourne’s future corporate community leaders.
Outcomes for Emerging Leaders
- Access to senior business and civic leaders and a broad network of young leaders from a diversity of backgrounds
- An opportunity to fulfill corporate social responsibilities and make a tangible and lasting contribution to Melbourne through hands-on social entrepreneurship
- Practical leadership skills gained via an action-based, enduring learning experience of formulating a project idea, developing teams, creating a shared vision, managing differing personalities and overcoming hurdles, and generating the momentum to make the project successful.
