Premiers Cup at the Royal Melbourne Golf course
As Royal Melbourne Golf course prepares to host the Presidents Cup for the third time, showcasing Melbourne as a major event sporting capital, another event of significance is taking shape with strong support from Committee for Melbourne members; The Premiers Cup.
While Tiger woods prepares his US team to take on the world in December, A number of Committee for Melbourne members are warming up for the Premiers Cup on Monday 9th of September at RMGC.
The Premier of Victoria, The Hon Daniel Andrews, is delighted to host the fourth annual ‘Premier’s Cup’, in conjunction with the Australian Golf Industry Council (AGIC).
This is a great opportunity to join fellow corporates and committed golfers on the world renowned east and west courses at Royal Melbourne Golf Club on 9 September 2019 to raise money for a worthy cause.
The 2019 event will be raising funds for the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne—Australia’s first and leading specialist hospital for the health and wellbeing of women and newborns. The Premier is proud to be supporting the Royal Women’s Hospital, which every year supports women from 189 countries, who speak 90 different languages and follow 70 separate religious faiths.
Last year’s event raised approximately $308,000 for the Royal Women’s Hospital. This brings the total funds raised for charity through the last three Premier’s Cups to more than $750,000—and this year, it is hoped to break the million-dollar mark
Following the golf, a gala dinner and an auction will be held at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club for all participants.
