30.06.2020Good Move: Fixing Transport Congestion Forum

Committee for Melbourne members explored the findings of Infrastructure Victoria’s latest report; Good Move: Fixing Transport Congestion, highlighting the real costs of congestion.

We need to change the way we think about future transport systems to achieve optimum value-for-money infrastructure investment.

This includes exploring the way we pay for our roads, transport, and parking.

Whilst the COVID-19 crisis has temporarily reduced transport network congestion, failure to implement policies that address pre-existing issues means that congestion and over-crowding will likely re-emerge when full economic activity resumes.

Thanks to Infrastructure Victoria, our expert panel, and our members for a great forum.
