Melbourne 2021 – UITP’s Global Transport Summit is coming to Melbourne!

In 2021, the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) Global Public Transport Summit is coming to Melbourne. With almost 130 years of history behind it, the summit is the world’s biggest event dedicated to sustainable mobility.

Having just returned from a highly successful 2019 edition in Stockholm, Sweden, delegates from across Victorian Government are currently looking for industry partners to get involved in Melbourne 2021. After meeting with transport, technology and sustainability leaders from around the world, Australian delegates have garnered significant international interest from Victoria’s exhibition presence in Stockholm.

Melbourne 2021 presents a fantastic opportunity for businesses across transport, sustainability and emerging technologies throughout the Asia/Pacific region to connect with international partners, encourage investment in the region, and build cross-industry relationships. With over $57 billion being invested in transport infrastructure across Victoria over the next 10 years, Melbourne 2021 is the perfect launching pad to kickstart investment and build long-lasting relationships in the region.

What is the UITP Global Public Transport Summit?

Formed in 1885, UITP (International Association of Public Transport) is a leader in the international transport sector, advocating for innovations in sustainable mobility across all modes. UITP currently represents over 1600 member companies from 96 countries around the world.

The UITP Global Public Transport Summit is a biennial event designed to champion the newest technologies and innovations in the transport sector. The summit brings together the best and brightest from across industry, with Melbourne 2021 being the first time in over 30 years that it will be coming to the southern hemisphere. This represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the ANZ transport industry to showcase the many exciting projects currently underway in the region.
