Agile workplaces are about fostering a flexible and productive environment. A panel hosted by Grant Thornton on 3 September with leading experts from HASSELL will show you how.
On Tuesday 3 September, we will hear from Dr Agustin Chevez and Mark Bray, both from our member HASSELL, followed by a panel session with members on how leading Melbourne companies are taking on the ‘Agile Workplace’.
HASSELL’s research team has been carrying out longitudinal primary research on companies which has enabled them to see how businesses perform in their physical space through understanding the fundamental business enterprise pillars of people, space and technology, giving them an ‘x-ray’ of these businesses and a better understanding of Agile workplaces. Their presentation will explore these results and the benefits and challenges of agile workplaces.

Dr Agustin Chevez, Senior Researcher, HASSELL
Agustin originally practiced as an architect in Mexico and moved to Australia in 2002, where he undertook postgraduate studies in project management and completed a PhD in workplace architecture. His reputation as a workplace strategist and researcher has been developed across a significant body of national and international research. He is also an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Centre for Design Innovation (CDI) at Swinburne University of Technology and an Honorary Fellow at the School of Management and Marketing at The University of Melbourne. His research around workplace design has won awards and led to keynote speaking appearances at international conferences.
Mark Bray, Head of Knowledge and Sustainability, HASSELL
Starting his career as a QS, specialising in procurement and contract law, Mark has been in leadership roles for the past 15 years plus. Mark has been fortunate to work on some of the world’s most iconic buildings. His role, together with his team at HASSELL, is to explore the future of industries, whether it be workplace, education or health, through understanding the pillars of space, people and technology. Leading HASSELL to the forefront of understanding new challenges, his team, through research and strategy deliver thought provoking solutions through consulting services and extraordinary design.
